Phaltan → Srisailam → Tirupati → Khidrapur → Hampi → Kolhapur → Phaltan

A 7-day road trip from Phaltan covering some of the most important spiritual, historical and cultural destinations across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Day 1 — 25 August

Phaltan → Srisailam

Our journey begins from Phaltan, Maharashtra, at 11:00 PM.

The first leg is an overnight drive toward Srisailam. Since this is a long journey, regular breaks for food, fuel and rest are important.

Day 2 — 26 August

Srisailam — The Spiritual Beginning

After reaching Srisailam, check into the hotel, have breakfast and take some rest before beginning the sightseeing.

Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple

The main attraction is the Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Bhramaramba Devi Temple

The Bhramaramba Devi Temple is another major spiritual destination within the Srisailam temple complex.

Pathala Ganga

After the temple visit, explore Pathala Ganga and enjoy the natural surroundings of the Nallamala Hills.

Srisailam Dam

End the day with a visit to Srisailam Dam and its surrounding viewpoints.

Night: Stay in Srisailam


Day 3 — 27 August

Srisailam → Tirupati

After breakfast, complete any remaining Srisailam visit and start the long journey toward Tirupati.

This is primarily a travel day, so we won’t add major sightseeing.

Morning: Breakfast and checkout
Day: Srisailam → Tirupati
Evening: Hotel check-in
Night: Rest in Tirupati

The next day is reserved for the most important part of the journey — Tirumala Venkateswara Darshan.


Day 4 — 28 August

Tirumala Venkateswara Darshan

This is the highlight of Plan A.

Start early from Tirupati and travel to Tirumala according to the confirmed TTD Darshan slot.

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple

Complete Darshan at the main Tirumala temple and spend time experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of the hill town.

Other Tirumala Places

If time permits, visit:

  • Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy Temple
  • Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple
  • Swami Pushkarini
  • Other nearby Tirumala locations

After Darshan, have breakfast/Prasadam, rest and return toward Tirupati.

Important: The day’s schedule should remain flexible around the confirmed Darshan slot.

Night: Tirupati / en-route depending on Darshan completion


Day 5 — 29 August

Kopeshwar Temple — Khidrapur

Continue the journey toward Maharashtra and visit the historic Kopeshwar Temple at Khidrapur.

The temple is known for its remarkable stone architecture and detailed sculptures.

Take time to explore the temple before continuing toward Hampi.

Morning: Reach Khidrapur
Morning/Afternoon: Kopeshwar Temple
Afternoon: Lunch
After lunch: Khidrapur → Hampi

Night: Stay in Hampi


Day 5 Evening

Welcome to Hampi

If we reach Hampi early enough, explore the evening atmosphere around:

  • Hampi Bazaar
  • Virupaksha Temple
  • Hemakuta Hill
  • Sunset viewpoint

Keep the evening relaxed because the next morning is dedicated to Hampi sightseeing.


Day 6 — 30 August

Discovering Hampi

Start early to explore the historic ruins of Hampi.

Virupaksha Temple

Begin with the iconic Virupaksha Temple and explore the surrounding historic area.

Vittala Temple & Stone Chariot

Next, visit the famous Vittala Temple complex and its spectacular Stone Chariot.

Lotus Mahal

Continue to the Lotus Mahal, one of Hampi’s most distinctive architectural structures.

Elephant Stables

Visit the nearby Elephant Stables before finishing the Hampi sightseeing circuit.

Around 2:00–3:00 PM: Start Hampi → Kolhapur.


Day 6 Evening

Kolhapur — Mahalakshmi Ambabai Temple

After reaching Kolhapur, visit the famous Mahalakshmi Ambabai Temple if time permits.

This becomes the final major temple visit of our road trip before heading back toward Phaltan.

After Darshan:

  • Dinner
  • Rest
  • Start toward Phaltan if the driver is comfortable

Night: Kolhapur / en-route


Day 7 — 31 August

Kolhapur → Phaltan

The final leg of the journey takes us back home.

If we travel from Kolhapur during the previous night, we can reach Phaltan in the morning.

Otherwise, start early from Kolhapur and complete the final drive.
